British expats keep foreign demand for Brit snacks high

Baked Beans

A British business that delivers English foodstuffs around the world has reported one of its most successful trading years to date.

The business, British Corner Shop, keeps Brits abroad in good stock of their favourite British treats including items like crisps, pot noodles and baked beans.

The company is now expecting further growth of around 25 percent over the next year.

The Bristol based British Corner Shop website was launched in 2004 and has since received orders from all over the world, including fur-flung destinations like Australia and South America.

The managing director of the company, Mark Callaghan, said: “The demand for British food from expats, British people working abroad and even people of different nationalities who may have lived in the UK in the past, appears to be on the increase. Selling particularly well at the moment are Fray Bentos pies, tinned black pudding and marmalade. We have seen a high demand for pancakes and crumpets too, as well as Maynards Wine Gums and Jelly Babies, Pot noodles are also very popular, particularly the chicken and mushroom flavour.”

Over 6,500 beloved British treats can be found on the website, and they deliver to expats anywhere in the world.
